Barnard College, an undergraduate college for women opened in 1889. It was the custom of students to keep mementos of their activities and experiences during their years at the school. This material was later donated to the school and provides intimate, personal views of undergraduate life over the years.
Contains memorabilia of Barnard alumnae and students in folders organized by name; including invitations, programs, notices, tickets, photographs, clippings and other materials documenting social activities at Barnard. Students represented in the collection include: Kathryn Louise Heavey, Class of 1935, Frances Meyer Mantell, Class of 1938, Bessie Rothschild Newberger, Class of 1918, Emma Hyman Seligman, Class of 1929, Kate H. Tiemann, Class of 1911, Gail Stephanie Weinberg, Class of 1960, Louise Laidlaw Backus, Class of 1929, Ruth McKee, Class of 1939 and Charlotte Elizabeth Morgan, Class of 1905.
Access to material dated 50 years or less prior to current date is restricted.
